The Circus of Zorte by Jason McGee

Book one of The Book of Zorte series

Ladies and gentlemen,
It’s finally here!
The Circus of Zorte-
You’ve waited all year!

Come one, come all,
And meet the royals, Clairue.
You’ll meet a bilingual cat
And some fumbling bumble bees too.

A lesson will be learned by an infamous act.
The royal family will learn to smile;
They’ll be taught to laugh.

So children of all ages,
Please take your seats; it’s about to begin.
Be prepared to laugh.

Get ready to grin!
